HUGO is a multifunctional remote monitoring robot designed to enhance security and convenience for users. Integrating multi-directional motion, visual monitoring via an ESP32-CAM, obstacle avoidance, and WiFi connectivity, HUGO offers an advanced solution for real-time surveillance. Developed using a User-Centered Design (UCD) approach, HUGO addresses the specific needs of users, providing an intuitive and accessible interface for remote control through a mobile application. The project aims to deliver an affordable and effective monitoring solution for homes, businesses, and educational environments. Extensive user testing has demonstrated HUGOs capability to efficiently perform remote monitoring tasks and navigate complex environments. By prioritizing usability and affordability, HUGO stands out as a versatile tool for enhancing security and situational awareness in various settings.
